As a fourth generation farm from Florenceville, the Hunter family has had their farm for 128 years and has been coming to the Fredericton Boyce Farmers’ Market for 38 years.

Hunter Brothers Farm claims it’s the only farm in the province that uses a technique called hydro-cooling to keep its corn fresh. The process begins by picking the corn the day before the market and placing the mesh bags of corn on a conveyor belt to lower them into a nearby brook with cold spring water. This extra step in the process cools down the corn that otherwise would naturally start to heat up and convert its sugars into starches. This extra step ensures its product remains high-quality and retains its natural sweetness!
