The Eclectic Collection
Lisa Mahar & Janice Watson
Crochet, dolls, handbags and more form the Eclectic Collection, a sister-run booth at the market!
Lisa’s handmade dolls are a fan favourite at the market among younger and older market-goers alike. She began taking interest in sewing at the age of six and taught herself how to sew bags and dolls using recycled materials whenever possible, nothing gets wasted! She can also do custom orders to resemble your child’s unique features! Her shop, @Zinnibug Rubydoos Dolly Shop, is named after her daughter’s childhood nicknames, who take part in their mom’s business by naming each doll she creates.
Janice is the one behind the beautiful crochet stuffed animals, hats and other handcrafted crocheted items. Her products are often inspired by her children who grew up with Janice’s stuffed toys, and give her ideas on what she should make next. She was taught how to crochet by her sister, Lisa, who was taught by their grandmother and says every time she goes on a trip her suitcase is much smaller than her bag of yarn!
