Outside, you’ll often see Clarke Perkins working away, putting the finishing touches on his furniture. He takes after his grandfather, who he spent lots of time admiring in the shop where his interest in carpentry began as a child!

After sharing his talent by teaching high school for most of his life, he’s continued keeping busy and sharing his passion by selling his furniture at the Market for the past 20 years.

Accompanied by his cat in his shop just outside Fredericton, Clarke incorporates new and recycled materials in his new constructions, which usually start in the form of a drawing. He then brings his pieces to life, each full of character and handcrafted with precision, perfect to complement any home!
