A family tradition since 1980, this Lebanese food stand was started by Nada Saad’s mother-in-law, whose husband’s family came to Canada by boat from Lebanon in the late 1800s. She passed down the tradition to Nada, who began making all the food from scratch using the knowledge her own mother passed down to her. Nada now spends most of her time in the kitchen, and her three daughters have all grown up around it, too, learning the art of making Lebanese food from scratch.
