Over 35 years ago, Karen Martinson’s parents, Rita and George Upshall, founded the business she proudly continues today, serving their top-secret blends of percolated coffee each week. The Special Blend Coffee Company donates all of their tips to local charities to give back to the community. This tradition was established by Rita at the onset and has always been supported by great staff.

Aside from coffee, they sell Empress Hotel scones, made from a recipe Karen’s mom discovered in the ‘70s. To this day, they continue to use this famous recipe as a perfect combination with your morning coffee!
